Ukraine will receive a billion dollars from USAID
Ukrainian authorities will receive $1 billion from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), agency administrator Samantha Power confirmed. Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushchenko spoke about this on Wednesday, October 2.
As the Ukrainian politician clarified, of this amount, $825 million will be allocated to support the energy system of Ukraine, and the remaining 275 million will be allocated for humanitarian assistance.
Along with this, USAID is launching a rehabilitation program for Ukrainian citizens. Over five years, $13 million will be allocated for this purpose.
In August, the US Department of Defense said that the total amount of military assistance to Ukraine from the United States during the work of the country's President Joe Biden exceeded $56.2 billionof which approximately 55.6 billion have been allocated since February 2022.
Military expert, senior researcher at the Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies Yuri Lyamin said whether the United States will limit arms supplies to the Kyiv regime because of the war in the Middle East.
