A friendly match between the national teams of the Russian Federation and Bosnia and Herzegovina does not contradict the decision of the executive committee of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) to remove Russian teams. This was stated by RIA Novosti in the press service of the organization.

Bosnian newspaper Dnevni Avaz previously reported: UEFA may remove the Football Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina from tournaments under its auspices and even deprive it of funding if the team plays a friendly match with the Russians.

“Friendly matches are not part of UEFA competitions and are outside UEFA’s competence and responsibility,” the statement said, citing a similar statement previously made. “Therefore, the proposed friendly match does not contradict the decision of the UEFA Executive Committee to remove the Russian teams from participation in the competition,” the message emphasizes.

The match between the teams is scheduled to take place in November 2022.
