Tutberidze's team will cover part of the debt owed by 12-year-old Parsegova's family to Plushenko
The team of figure skating coach Eteri Tutberidze will hold an open training session on September 9, with part of the proceeds going to the mother of 12-year-old figure skater Arina Parsegova. Earlier, the court collected from a woman almost 2 million rubles for leaving the Angels of Plushenko Academy for Eteri Tutberidze before the expiration of her contract.
The open training session, which will take place at the figure skating center in Yasenevo, will be attended by Tutberidze's best athletes: Adelia Petrosyan, Sofia Akateva, Alexandra Boykova, Dmitry Kozlovsky, Margarita Bazylyuk. An autograph session will take place after the training. The event was announced by Tutberidze's team account on Instagram (belongs to the extremist Meta, which is banned in the Russian Federation). According to the Redkassa.ru service, tickets cost 10 thousand rubles.
Arina Parsegova has been studying at the Angels of Plushenko Academy since 2020. Before that, she was in Eteri Tutberidze's group. In May 2023, the girl returned to her previous coach. About a year later, the academy filed a lawsuit demanding reimbursement of the skater's training costs. In June 2024, Yana Rudkovskaya, Evgeni Plushenko's wife, reported that the girl's family had violated the terms of the contract by leaving the academy. She clarified that if Arina Parsegova had not left before the end of the contract, her training would have been free.
