Turkey stopped refueling and servicing American aircraft from Russia and Belarus

The Turkish authorities have decided to ban the refueling and maintenance of American-made aircraft from Russia and Belarus, the Turkish specialized publication reported. Airport Haber. According to the publication, the ban affected the work of seven Russian, one Belarusian and one Iranian air carrier (the latter's planes flew to the Russian Federation).

The refusal to refuel the aircraft in Istanbul was confirmed by Kommersant's sources in two airlines. “We are working on a solution to the problem,” said one of the interlocutors.

Aeroflot reported that the airline "operates flights to the cities of Turkey in the normal mode, on schedule, within the declared flight program."

As stated in the material AirportHaber, refueling and other services are prohibited for private, cargo, commercial and charter aircraft that contain more than 25% of American components and follow to Russia or Belarus. According to the Turkish edition, the Bureau of Industry and Security of the US Department of Commerce insisted on appropriate measures in a special letter.

In early March, Turkish customs authorities began to reject transit declarations for goods whose contents are on EU sanctions lists. On March 15, Russian Ambassador to Ankara Alexei Yerkhov announced "a certain tightening of the rules for the movement of goods", but by that time Russian carriers had managed to find a way out of this situation.

About the emergency measures of Russian logisticians - in the material "Kommersant FM" “Logisticians figured out the transit”.
