This movement of deconcentration was launched in 2019, in the wake of the movement of “yellow vests”.

Launched at the end of 2019, the transfer of services from the General Directorate of Public Finance (DGFIP) in Île-de-France and major cities to “the territories” continues. Bercy thus announced last week the redeployment of 26 new services after 21 in 2021. These openings result in the establishment of 608 new jobs in small and medium-sized towns.

In total, until 2026, 2500 jobs are to be transferred to 66 selected cities “on the basis of socio-economic criteria taking into account accessibility, demography, attractiveness and reception conditions for migrants”.

The positions abolished in the Paris region are filled in these cities on the basis of a call for applications by voluntary permanent agents or contract workers. “In total over two years, nearly half of the jobs that were to be relocated by 2026 are already in place in 44 of the 66 municipalities selected“Said Gabriel Attal, the Minister of Public Accounts.

Château-Thierry (02) or Troyes (10) welcome from 1er September, for example, support services for land registration. Angoulême (16) and Nevers (58) contact centers for individuals, Fougères (35) and Loches (37) pension management centers.

This movement of deconcentration of public services, called “new local network”, was launched in 2019 as a response to the feeling of abandonment of the inhabitants of these cities expressed during the protest movement of “yellow vests”.
