Transfers: agreement between Chelsea and Fenerbahçe for Michy Batshuayi
Turkish club Fenerbahçe announced on Friday that they have reached an agreement with Chelsea for the transfer of Belgian player Michy Batshuayi to Istanbul.
"Our club has reached an agreement for the transfer of Michy Batshuayi", said Fenerbahçe on Twitter, without revealing the outlines of the contract. The Belgian striker, loaned last year to Besiktas Istanbul by Chelsea, is expected in Istanbul where he must pass medical examinations, said Fenerbahçe.
It will be, at 28, his 5th club since signing for Chelsea in 2016 from Marseille as part of a transfer then estimated at 38.5 million euros. The Belgian international, a time announced at Nottingham Forest, scored 14 goals last season in the jersey of Besiktas. Fenerbahçe, who have not won the Turkish Championship since 2014, finished second in the Süper Lig last season behind Trabzonspor.
