About 800 million cubic meters of gas was in the three damaged strings of Nord Stream, Gazprom spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov said at a meeting of the UN Security Council. According to him, this is Denmark’s consumption for three months. Mr. Kupriyanov assured that Gazprom is looking for possible solutions to restore the gas pipelines to work.
“Data on a sharp drop in pressure and gas leakage make it possible to say with confidence that the violation of the tightness of gas pipelines was caused by physical damage,” a representative of the Russian company said. He called the resumption of operation of the Nord Streams “a complex technical task.” The meeting was broadcast on website UN. Mr. Kupriyanov believes that it is not yet possible to estimate the time frame for the work.
