Since the beginning of the day, two earthquakes have occurred on Sakhalin. The first with a magnitude of 3.5 occurred at 09:44 (01:44 Moscow time), reported in the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The second earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 was recorded at 10:16 (02:16 Moscow time), told “RIA News” in the regional branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Another earthquake, data of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences, occurred at 14:01 (05:01 Moscow time) in Kamchatka, its intensity was 6.4 points.

As specified in the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the first earthquake on Sakhalin was registered 7 km east of the village of Roschino, on the territory of the village of Onor. There were no casualties or destruction due to tremors. The epicenter of the second earthquake, according to the head of the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk seismological station, Elena Semenova, was 18 km southwest of the village of Onor in the Smirnykhovsky district. The earthquake source was at a depth of 7 km. The epicenter of the third earthquake of the day was recorded 118 km southeast of Ust-Kamchatsk.
