Arkhyz is the flagship resort of Kavkaz.RF JSC and the launch pad of the North Caucasus tourism cluster. On the territory of the special economic zone, according to TASS, 36 residents are registered. The volume of private investment may reach 13.5 billion rubles.
A representative of the federal tour operator Intourist previously noted that until recently, Arkhyz was popular primarily with residents of neighboring regions, their share was up to 80%. The head of the republic, Rashid Temrezov, said that in 2019 tourists came from the Krasnodar, Stavropol Territories, the Rostov Region, the constituent entities of the KFD, then Moscow and the region entered the top three regions
Earlier, an agreement of intent was signed between the authorities of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, the president of the Sinara Group and the general director of the North Caucasus Resorts on the development of a tourist and recreational special economic zone on the territory of the Arkhyz all-season resort.
