Books on psychology, self-development, as well as children’s fairy tales have become the most popular literature among Russians this fall, RIA Novosti reports, citing data from the Wildberries and Ozon marketplaces.

The most popular publication on psychology this fall at the Wildberries site was Olga Primakova’s book-meditation about love and self-care “Tenderly to Yourself”. Among children’s books, Korney Chukovsky’s collection of fairy tales for the smallest was popular, among prose for adults – Oscar Wilde’s novel The Picture of Dorian Gray.

The most popular books on Ozon were The Richest Man in Babylon by George Samuel (a book on financial management in the form of a collection of parables), as well as Tenderly to Yourself by Olga Primakova and Secret Support: Attachment in the Life of a Child by Lyudmila Petranovskaya. Among fiction, the demand for drama (7 times) and poetry (6 times) has grown.

In 2021, according to Wildberries, Russians most often bought books for the children of Shamil Akhmadullin and Lyudmila Petranovskaya. The most popular authors were Mikhail Labkovsky, Erich Fromm and Mikhail Bulgakov.
