V1.ru: messages appeared on social networks about an outbreak of measles in a gypsy camp near Volgograd
There were reports of a suspected measles infection of a 38-year-old resident of the satellite city of Volgograd, Volzhsky. Doctors are waiting for test results and are still denying information about mass morbidity. V1.ru writes about this.
The publication notes that information about a possible outbreak of a potentially fatal disease previously appeared on social networks. Residents of the city wrote that the source of infection was in a gypsy camp that settled in one of the new apartment buildings.
According to Volzhan residents, nurses carried out vaccinations, but four ambulance teams allegedly took away patients who were escaping from hospitals.
At the same time, the regional health committee neither confirmed nor denied the measles outbreak. The regional Ministry of Health stated that no recorded cases of infection with an infectious disease have been identified in Volzhsky at the indicated address, but a 38-year-old woman is under observation and test results are awaited.
