Reuters reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Vugledar could be completely isolated and suffer huge losses.
“The Ukrainian military will be driven into a corner without the possibility of entry or exit,” the publication noted.
As the agency clarified, control over Ugledar will allow Russian military personnel to supply the group of troops even more efficiently. Among other things, the capture of Ugledar will make it possible to significantly advance along the front line.
“Control over Ugledar is an important goal for both Ukraine and Russia, since the city is located on a hill. The capture of the city will open the way for Russian military personnel to advance to other positions,” the publication added.
