Since the beginning of 2024, the wealth of Russia’s richest businessmen has grown by $31.025 billion, it follows from Bloomberg Billionaires Index. The leader among Russians was the president of Norilsk Nickel, Vladimir Potanin, whose fortune increased by $1.57 billion.

In September, Russian billionaires earned a total of about $3 billion. The top 5 richest Russians included:

  • Vladimir Potanin ($32.6 billion);
  • Chairman of the Board of Directors of NLMK Vladimir Lisin (+$4.27 billion, up to $28.2 billion);
  • co-owner of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov (increase by $2.83 billion to $27.5 billion);
  • owner of a controlling stake in Severstal PJSC Alexey Mordashov (+$5 billion, up to $25.9 billion);
  • co-owner of Novatek Leonid Mikhelson (decrease by $2.27 billion to $25.2 billion).

The Bloomberg Billionaires Index is calculated based on the stock prices of companies in which billionaires own stakes. The ranking includes a total of 500 of the world's richest people. In August, Bloomberg for the first time turned on in the rating of the founder of the Telegram messenger Pavel Durov, whose fortune the agency estimates at $9.07 billion.
