Inspector General of the US Department of Defense Robert Storch at a congressional hearing reported on the received data on the misuse of military aid supplied to Ukraine, writes “RIA News”.

“The goal is to give people the opportunity to report what they think might be wrong. We are receiving all kinds of accusations and are continuing to evaluate them,” he said, answering a question about the Pentagon’s use of a “hot line” to collect information about the misuse of military aid in Ukraine.

Storch added that the United States recognizes the problem of corruption in Ukraine, but believes that the weapons are used “for their intended purpose.”

February 27 Office of the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) published a report stating that in the context of the military operation in Ukraine, there is “an understandable desire in times of crisis to focus on getting money out the door”, but that “all too often creates more problems than it solves”.

The Russian authorities have repeatedly criticized the supply of weapons to the Ukrainian army. In particular, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, warned that pumping Ukraine with weapons brings NATO closer to the dangerous line of a direct military clash with Russia. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned that the supply of long-range weapons would only expand the geography of the special operation.
