The Theater of Nations presented awards to assemblers, make-up artists and costume designers

The Korsh Prize at the beginning of the season is presented for the second year in a row at the Theater of Nations. This award, invented by Yevgeny Mironov, marks the fighters of the invisible front – fitters, make-up artists, costume designers. It is they, and not the stars of theatrical art, who become true stars for one evening. And what is important, they go up to the stage in evening dresses and, believe me, they are in no way inferior to the stars.

The nominations in which they are marked sound life-affirming and valuable – friendship, devotion, beauty, ray, admiration and magic.

True, among the behind-the-scenes stars, without which no performance is unthinkable, this time the actors are noted – Alexandra Ursulyak (debut on the stage of the Nations), St. Petersburg director Andrey Moguchiy and actor Viktor Verzhbitsky. Accepting the symbol of the Korsh award – a brick (of course, elegant, not construction), the performer of the role of Woland in the play “The Master and Margarita” philosophically remarked that “we don’t just fall on a brick on anyone’s head.”

Philip Kirkorov, who sang the song “Love Rules the World” in the finale (the whole audience sang along with him and shone with the flashlights of their mobile phones), was so inspired by what he saw that he voiced his dream from the stage:

– I hope to go to your beautiful stage in the play. Not just sing a song. I saw the race (pointed to the ceiling) and made a wish.
