On October 17, closed hearings will be held in the State Duma, during which members of the parliamentary defense committee will discuss with the Deputy Ministers of Defense of Russia Sergei Shoigu (Alexey Krivoruchko and Mikhail Mizintsev) the situation with the problems of providing for the mobilized. Deputy Andrey Gurulev explained that during the meeting the question will be raised why the Russian mobilized military personnel cannot “be properly shod and dressed”.

“The problems are as follows – every year, within the framework of the budget of the Russian Federation, money is allocated in full to the Defense Ministry, including a separate item – logistics … Today we cannot understand why our mobilized cannot properly put on shoes and clothes. Uniform, clothes, weapons – that’s all,” Mr. Gurulev told RIA Novosti.

According to him, the meeting with the deputy defense ministers will be held as part of the hearings on the defense budget.

Earlier, deputies Andrei Kartapolov and Vasily Piskarev asked the Prosecutor General’s Office figure out with the situation with the supply of the rear. Mr. Gurulev stated that after the start of mobilization in Russia, 1.5 sets of uniforms were not found at the points of reception of personnel.
