“The Chairman of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, instructed the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Control, Oleg Morozov, to prepare amendments to the regulations of the State Duma by next week, which will establish control over the work on draft laws introduced in pursuance of the decisions of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation,” the press service of the lower house said in a statement. parliament.
Volodin said at a parliamentary meeting that there were 47 such decisions of the Constitutional Court over the past four years - bills were not submitted according to 15 court decisions, nine drafts were rejected, and 23 documents are under consideration in the State Duma.
The speaker also stressed that the government should introduce a draft federal law to the State Duma no later than six months after the publication of the Constitutional Court resolution, only if the resolution itself does not specify another period. He substantiated this by the federal constitutional law (FKZ) "On the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation."
Morozov in an interview with TASS explainedthat the instruction means "to make proposals on the procedures for parliamentary control over the execution of decisions of the Constitutional Court." Volodin appointed Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Irina Yarovaya as the coordinator of the assignment.
