Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Alexander Zhukov said on Tuesday that a new board of directors had been formed at the Spartak football club and that the new coach, Guillermo Abascal, was performing well.
“Let’s hope that all these changes are made for the better,” Zhukov said.
He noted that this season, if Spartak takes the top spot, it will be good, but to win in the RPL, the team needs to be strengthened both in the offensive line and in midfield.
“The estimated amount for transfers is said to be quite serious. But the question is how to use it. Strengthening is needed,” he added.
According to Zhukov, Spartak needs to acquire a strong striker and a strong player in midfield, in a position under the attackers.
“On the whole, the team could benefit from strengthening in all lines,” the deputy said.
