The State Duma Committee on the Financial Market approved bill on the provision of credit holidays for those mobilized and those who participate in the military operation in Ukraine under a contract. The document is planned to be considered in the lower house of parliament on September 27. The committee recommended that the bill be passed on first reading.

The bill was introduced on September 23 by a group of deputies, including Anatoly Aksakov, head of the financial market committee. The document has been approved by the government. The bill is expected to be retroactive.

It is assumed that borrowers from among the participants in the military operation in Ukraine and those who are dependent on them will be able to receive a full deferral of loan payments for the duration of their service or reduce the amount of payments for this time. In addition, the bill provides for the complete or partial termination of obligations under the loan of a dependent or a military person, in the event of the death of the latter.
