The State Duma approved in the second reading the publication of deputies' declarations in anonymized form

The State Duma adopted in the second reading a bill containing an amendment that allows regional and municipal deputies working on a voluntary basis to abandon the annual declaration of income and property. It is also assumed that information on the income of all regional deputies (including paid ones) will be published on the websites of legislative bodies in a generalized form, without indicating personal data. If the law is approved, the changes will come into force on March 1.

Member of the Federation Council Alexander Bashkin thinksthat thanks to the draft law, declarations can be prevented from falling into the hands of “enemies”, in particular those who impose sanctions. However, he himself has not yet read the document. Deputy Pavel Krasheninnikov said “b”that the abolition of the public declaration of the property of parliamentarians is necessary for the “protection of personal data”. Kremlin assuredthat parliamentarians will continue to file income declarations.

More about the initiative – in the material “Kommersant” “Impersonal Income”.
