Today, the State Duma in the second and third readings adopted amendments to the Labor Code, according to which mobilized citizens and volunteers will retain their jobs. Employment contracts with the mobilized will be suspended, and within three months after the end of military service, they will be able to return to work.

Legislative innovations also provide additional guarantees for the families of the mobilized. “They will not be able to be recruited without consent for a special regime of work: sent on business trips, recruited overtime, at night, on weekends and holidays,” explained deputy Yaroslav Nilov (LDPR).

AT press release The State Duma also notes that citizens who have entered into contracts for military service from February 24 to September 21 this year will receive “the preferential right to employment for work in a previously held position with the employer,” if the contracts with them were previously terminated.

Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova noted that workers called up for mobilization are also given the status of military personnel, and therefore they receive the same benefits as contract soldiers.
