The State Department spoke about the discussion of the supply of long-range ATACMS to Kyiv

The topic of supplying ATACMS long-range missiles to Kyiv is under active discussion. US Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell spoke about this on Wednesday, October 2.

In response to a corresponding question, the politician admitted that “he is not ready to say anything specific on this matter.”

At the same time, Campbell acknowledged that ultimately Moscow and Kyiv will have to seek a common language at the negotiating table and “come to a situation where some kind of diplomatic interaction on this matter becomes possible.”

Earlier, political scientist Sergei Markov suggested that “before his departure, Biden, like a maniac, may give the order to strike Russia", and "at first - not in Moscow." Russia, the expert believes, can choose one of three response options.

According to the editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine Igor Korotchenko, one should not “focus on the fact that US intelligence has suddenly become concerned and will offer Biden refuse supplies to Ukraine long-range American missile systems, and even more so prohibit Zelensky from launching strikes deep into Russia.”
