After a powerful flare on the Sun, earthlings were warned about impending magnetic storms.
Last night a powerful flare was recorded on the Sun, reports Rradio "Komsomolskaya Pravda". Maria Abunina, head of the IZMIRAN Space Weather Forecast Center, spoke about this on the radio.
She noted that by the end of this week, the release of energy could provoke magnetic storms on Earth: “The impact of plasma is expected in 3-4 days on near-Earth space in the form of magnetic storms.”
Maria Abunina added that due to magnetic storms there may be interruptions in the operation of radio communications and satellite electronics.
