The ship Crew Dragon with the Russian woman Kikina went to the ISS

In Florida, after several transfers, the Falcon 9 launch vehicle was launched with the Crew Dragon spacecraft, which is supposed to deliver an international crew of four to the International Space Station. Among them is Russian Anna Kikina.

The launch of the carrier rocket took place at the estimated time - 12.00 US East Coast time (this is 19.00 Moscow time). The first stage of the launch vehicle, according to the technology developed by SpaceX, will land on a barge in the Atlantic shortly after launch, and the stage will be used in the future. The ship will continue moving into orbit, automatic docking with the ISS should take place in 29 hours, that is, on Thursday at approximately 16.57 (23.57 Moscow time).

Crew Dragon, together with Kikina, will deliver debutants Nicole Mann, Josh Kassada, as well as Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata (this is his fifth space flight) into orbit. The crew, as planned, will remain on the ISS for about 150 days, that is, they will return to Earth in March 2023.

Anna Kikina is the first Russian cosmonaut to fly on SpaceX's Crew Dragon spacecraft. In July, an agreement was reached between NASA and Roscosmos on cross-flights.
