The security of the icon "Trinity" by Andrei Rublev, while it is in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, will be provided by the National Guard and the security service of the cathedral, said TASS source in the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC). According to Interfax's interlocutor, the relic will be exhibited in a sealed capsule.

“Safety while the icon is in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior will be provided by the National Guard and the security service of the temple,” the TASS interlocutor said.

An Interfax source indicated that the capsule, which will contain the icon, will provide the necessary level of humidity and temperature. The mode will be regulated by the automated monitoring system of the temple, configured to respond to changes in external and internal indicators. The system was tested "for more than a week," the source said.

Earlier, the Russian Orthodox Church announced that Andrei Rublev's "Trinity" will be delivered to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior on Sunday, June 4. The relic will stay there until June 18. Believers will be allowed into the temple to worship the icon from 10:00 to 19:00.

On May 16, 2023, Patriarch Kirill addressed President Vladimir Putin with a request to coordinate the transfer of the Trinity to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. On May 26, the Kremlin announced that they had agreed on the details of transferring the shrine to the temple.

May 24 Commission on the Culture of Ancient and Medieval Rus' of the Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences "History of World Culture" applied to the Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova with a request to prevent the icon from moving. The authors of the appeal, researchers and scientists, indicated that the procedure puts the artifact in serious danger due to changes in the microclimate and vibration during the move. Patriarch Kirill dismissed from positions and banned the head of the Russian Orthodox Church Council on Art and Restoration Leonid Kalinin from serving because of the Trinity.
