Last week, a pensioner from Bratsk, Irkutsk Region, donated 40,000 rubles to the needs of the SVO. According to a local deputy, she collected this amount together with a neighbor. The woman mentioned that she had postponed it for the funeral, it seems like there is nothing more to save for, it is better to give it to the soldiers.

88-year-old Galina Pankova explained why she did it.

Patriot Galina Pankova is a doctor. She worked as a paramedic for over forty years.

She was clearly not in the mood to talk about money.

– I ended up in the hospital after I gave the money. Walked, fell on the street. Now I’m in traumatology, – Galina Timofeevna began.

– What is your pension?

– 40 thousand rubles. I am a child of war. So don’t think that I’m a beggar. And if possible, why not give it away. Don’t worry about me, I have more. She didn’t cheat herself. It is normal when pensioners give money to soldiers. I gave 30 thousand in November. In August, too, brought. I’ve already given it four times, I don’t remember exactly. In March, she received a pension, then she took the first 5 thousand. Then more accumulated. The neighbor gave 5 thousand for the last time. I also donated products.

How much did you save for the funeral?

“Why am I going to talk to you about myself? Don’t want. I have an insurance company, I take it there. We are insured, so I’m not worried.

– Most pensioners complain that they do not have enough money for medicines and food. So you are unique in this regard.

– I’m not unique. I don’t know why they complain. I have enough of everything. I have such a character that I’m not used to suffering.

– Are you invited to events dedicated to May 9, are you given something?

– They were invited. I went to administration.

– Do you have children, grandchildren?

– There are children, they are already pensioners. There are no grandchildren. Did not work out.

Do they support you?

– What to support me? I can support them myself.

– The children did not tell you: why do you give so much?

Why should they talk about it? This is my decision. I don’t listen to anyone.
