The Russian-Chinese detachment of ships began patrolling in the Pacific Ocean


Warships of the Russian Navy and the Chinese Navy have formed a tactical group and began patrolling in the Asia-Pacific region, the press service of the Pacific Fleet reported.

From the Russian side, the detachment included large anti-submarine ships “Admiral Tributs” and “Admiral Panteleev”. From the Chinese - the destroyers "Xining" and "Wuxi", the frigate "Lin Yi", as well as the integrated supply ship "Taihu". It is specified that the joint group replenished its fuel supply in the Sea of ​​Okhotsk, crossed the Bussol Strait and entered the northwestern part of the Pacific Ocean.

“During the implementation of patrol tasks, the crews of ships of the Russian Navy and the Navy of the People’s Liberation Army of Kitya will conduct a series of training and combat training exercises, including anti-submarine defense and sea rescue,” says a press release from the Pacific Fleet (available from "Ъ").

A joint detachment of ships of the Pacific Fleet and the Chinese Navy left Vladivostok on September 21. The day before, September 30, warships of the Russian Federation and China worked out tasks for air and anti-submarine defense with the practical use of weapons in the Sea of ​​​​Okhotsk. To repel the attack of a group of strike drones, anti-aircraft missile weapons were used, as well as crews of heavy machine guns.
