The residential area of the MiG plant may increase at least 1.5 times

The City Planning and Land Commission of Moscow approved a project for the integrated development of a territory with a total area of 63.5 hectares opposite the Dynamo stadium. As follows from its protocol (Vedomosti got acquainted with it), it is planned to build 2.5 million square meters there. m of real estate, of which 1.4 million sq. m – housing, and the rest – commercial facilities and infrastructure (including for the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs). Judging by the addresses indicated in the document, most of the development will take place on the site of the MiG aircraft manufacturing plant – this enterprise, as indicated in the information materials of Rostec, occupies 57.7 hectares.
Last summer, the capital’s mayor’s office allowed the construction of 2.7 million square meters in this area. m, however, then it was about a larger area – 82.3 hectares. It included the areas adjacent to the MiG, as well as the area of the Sukhoi design bureau (the general director of the United Aircraft Corporation, Yuri Slyusar, in an interview with Vedomosti, said that the company itself would build up this site: its office of 200,000 sq. m). A total of 900,000 sq. m of housing (including 770,000 sq. m at the MiG site). Now the area of the residential part in this project has increased at least 1.5 times. Requests to the relevant departments of the Moscow City Hall remained unanswered.
The site itself, as a source in the capital’s government said earlier, was supposed to be included (excluding Sukhoi) in the city’s program “Industrial quarters”, which involves the reorganization of industrial zones in the city. The rights to it are planned to be sold at auction, but its date is currently unknown. A representative of the Moscow City Property Department last summer confirmed that the issue of involving this territory in city programs and projects is being worked out, there were no other official reports on this matter.
