Analysts at the British cleaning company Homeaglow found that an hour-long kitchen cleaning consumes far more calories than dancing classes and cleaning in any other room. informs Dailymail.

To measure their calorie burn, 10 cleaners were tasked with cleaning five households using a special activity counter.

As it turned out, on average, cleaning the kitchen takes 276 calories, the bathroom – 173, and the bedroom – only 154. Note that an hour-long dance class spends an average of 219 calories, and an hour-long bike ride – 292 calories.
