The Republic of Congo signed an agreement with the Russian Federation on the construction of an oil products pipeline
The Republic of the Congo signed an agreement with Russia on the construction of the Pointe-Noire - Lutete - Maluko-Trecho oil pipeline. As reported TASS at the embassy of the republic in Moscow, the signing ceremony took place following the 7th meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Congolese Mixed Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation and Trade.
September 16, Russian government approved draft agreement on the construction of an oil products pipeline in the Republic of Congo. The authorized representatives for construction will be Zakneftegazstroy-Prometey LLC and the National Oil Company of the Congo (it acts as the customer).
To implement the project, the companies will create a joint venture with shares of 90% and 10% in favor of Prometheus. The Russian side pledged to supply everything necessary for the construction of the oil pipeline, and then train Congolese citizens to operate it.
