The Rada announced the transfer of the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Reznikov to another position

Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov will be transferred to the post of Minister for Strategic Industries, informed head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction David Arakhamia in his Telegram channel.

The deputy called this step "absolutely logical" in view of Reznikov's experience in negotiations with allies on arms supplies.

Reznikov will be replaced in this post by Major General Kirill Budanov, who previously headed the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense. In addition, according to the deputy, the acting heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Security Service of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko and Vasily Malyuk, will be approved as heads of these departments.

“The logic is the same. Law enforcement agencies at this stage should be headed not by politicians, but by regular security officials,” wrote Arakhamia.

On January 24, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky fired the heads of five regional administrations in the south, east and center of Ukraine at once, as well as four deputy ministers, including Deputy Defense Minister Vyacheslav Shapovalov, who is responsible for logistics. Shortly before this, a scandal erupted in Ukraine about the purchase of food for the army at prices several times higher than in retail chains.

Reznikov himself, in an interview with Ukrayinska Pravda, said that he had not been talked about being transferred to another position, but he was ready for any development of events.
