Prosecutor General of Russia Igor Krasnov, in an interview with the Kommersant newspaper, told how much false information about the conduct of a special operation on the territory of Ukraine was revealed by the supervisory authorities.
According to him, when the special operation began, the Prosecutor General’s Office intensified its work to counter the spread of calls for extremism and terrorism on the Internet, as well as fake news.
“More than 340 requests from prosecutors to block inaccurate socially significant information about the special operation have been filed and satisfied, about 138,000 Internet resources have been removed or blocked,” Krasnov said.
