The project for the construction of a new station on the Koltsevaya metro line was approved

The Suvorovskaya station will appear on the Koltsevaya metropolitan metro line. The design of the station, which will be located between Novoslobodskaya and Prospekt Mira, has been approved by the Moscow government.

The Suvorovskaya station will pass under Suvorovskaya Square and become a transfer station to the Dostoevskaya station of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya metro line. This was announced in his telegram channel by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

The project for the construction of the station was developed several decades ago, but due to technical difficulties it was never implemented. A couple of years ago, they returned to the project again.

“It was decided to resume the mothballed project in recent years, since the need for a change in the northern section of the light green metro line with the Koltsevaya line has become even more urgent,” said Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning Policy and Construction.

As reported on the website of the Construction Complex of the capital, the new station will have two lobbies with exits to Olympic Avenue, Delegatskaya Street and Durova Street. Thus, the opening of Suvorovskaya will improve the transport accessibility of the Olimpiysky sports complex, the theaters Grandfather Durov's Corner, Russian Song, the Russian Army, as well as residential areas of Meshchansky, Tverskoy and Maryina Roshcha. And of course, the appearance of a transfer from Suvorovskaya to Dostoevskaya will allow passengers to build more convenient travel routes.

By the way, the construction of the Suvorovskaya station will not prevent Muscovites and guests of the capital from using the Koltsevaya metro line: as reported on the website of the Moscow Construction Complex, bypass tunnels will be erected before the start of construction work, along which metro trains will follow until the new station is brought into operation.
