The scenario for the development of judo in the Bryansk region became the main topic of the meeting between Governor Alexander Bogomaz and President of the Russian Judo Federation Sergey Soloveichik. The head of the region spoke about this in his TG channel.

Last weekend, the Artem Osipenko Martial Arts Palace in Bryansk became the venue for the International Judo Cup. Such large-scale competitions were held here for the first time.

Sergei Soloveichik, President of the Russian Judo Federation, showed attention to the Cup. Together with the Bryansk governor, they discussed the level of competition preparation and the exclusivity of the regional program for the construction of sports complexes. In addition, we decided to sign a cooperation agreement.

The parties came to a common opinion about the primary focus on the education of the young generation of athletes. According to the head of the region, this issue is a priority, “now is the time not to run for international results and medals, but to look around.”

Alexander Bogomaz also noted the commonality of views regarding the popularization of judo in the Bryansk region – the mission to increase the number of adherents of this sport will be completed.
