Ondua was born in Cameroon but lived in Moscow as his father worked at the Cameroonian embassy in Russia. The athlete began his career in the youth team of the Moscow club Lokomotiv, then played from 2014 to 2015 in CSKA, and from 2018 to 2019 in Anji. He has Russian and Cameroonian citizenship.
