Athletes from the Penza region successfully represented the region in the sports and tourist camp of the Volga Federal District “Turiada-2023”, which was held in the Saratov region.
More than 700 athletes from 14 regions of the Volga Federal District took part in the competition, who competed in various disciplines, including cycling, water and walking distances, as well as an educational tourism competition.
The team of the Penza region, consisting of schoolchildren and students, won two silver prizes in the Championship of the Volga Federal District in sports tourism in the group of disciplines “water route” and in the Friendship Cup in the mixed relay race at a walking distance.
The team also took 5th place in the team standings among the subjects of the Volga Federal District, which is the best result for the Sursky Territory at this event.
