All the last days, when Moscow was preparing the ceremony of accepting new regions into the Russian Federation, fierce battles were going on in the Krasny Liman area. The Armed Forces of Ukraine threw numerous reserves from Kharkov, Dnipro (Dnepropetrovsk), Sumy to this section of the line of contact. The garrison of the militia and volunteer units fought in the operational encirclement and could repeat the fate of Kupyansk and Balakleya, which we left behind, but did not repeat.

According to the Ambassador of the LPR in the Russian Federation Rodion Miroshnik, on the morning of October 1, “Krasny Liman is under the control of the allied forces.” The commandant units of the LPR and the Bars detachments continue to serve inside the city, he wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to him, units of the reserve of the Southern Military District at night from the march attacked the areas of Drobyshev and Seversk in order to unblock the emerging encirclement of Krasny Liman. At the same time, the route Krasny Liman – Torskoye – Kremennaya remains under the complete control of the allied forces.

In the forests between Belogorovka, Kremennaya and Yampol, there are permanent clashes.

According to Miroshnik, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are regrouping forces after the blow received, and the allied forces are pulling up additional reserves.

Military blogger Yuriy Podolyaka believes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces tried their best to take Krasny Liman on Zelensky’s orders. At the same time, losses were not considered.

“Krasny Liman should have been taken or surrounded by the Armed Forces of Ukraine before the speech of President Putin. But today is the morning of 10/01/22, and he is still ours, ”Yury Podolyaka wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to him, the enemy assault choked and crashed against the stamina of our volunteers and soldiers of the 20th Army and the units of the 58th Army that came to the aid of their comrades.

According to the expert, the heroic defenders of Krasny Liman accomplished the main thing – “they resisted when it seemed that no one could resist in these conditions. And thus the offensive plan of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was completely destroyed.

The battalion commander Alexander Khodakovsky also believes that under the Red Liman they managed to break the military plans of Kyiv. “Ukraine needed a pace, it was necessary to seize the moment after the Kharkiv offensive, and put pressure on us in all directions … They were going to attack in the Mariupol direction, for which they transferred forces and means under Vuhledar, but they ran into resistance in Krasny Liman and got stuck,” – he wrote in his Telegram channel.

In his opinion, “if it weren’t for the Krasny Liman factor, besides the Kharkov fiasco, many more problems awaited us.”

“Someone had the courage to resist and fight, and the processes did not go in favor of Ukraine. Even if the garrison of the Red Liman falls, it has fulfilled its most important task, ”the expert concluded.

In turn, the Telegram channel “On the March of Z” does not exclude that the battles for Krasny Liman may continue. “In the coming days, while maintaining the combat dynamics, it will be possible to talk about a turning point in the situation around Krasny Liman with the transition of the Russian army and the Allied forces to a counteroffensive,” the expert makes a forecast.

According to him, this is possible under the condition of “maintaining combat dynamics.”

General Surovikin – the first “land” commander in chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces. He distinguished himself in battles in Syria. Now he is in command of one of the groups in the special operation zone. According to the author of “On the March Z”, now under Krasny Liman, our troops are probing the advanced forces of the enemy with wedge blows at the junction of their units.
