The NATO country openly acknowledged the presence of alliance forces in Ukraine
Estonia recognized the presence of NATO forces in Ukraine
Military personnel of NATO member countries are present on the territory of Ukraine - these are people who “from time to time visit” territories under the control of Kyiv. This statement was made by Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur in an interview with the newspaper Die Presse.
At the same time, the head of the defense department ruled out the possibility of European military participation in hostilities.
“Every NATO member state has military personnel in Ukraine. For example, military attaches or people who travel to Ukraine from time to time,” said Hanno Pevkur.
Earlier, the head of the Russian delegation at the negotiations in Vienna on military security and arms control, Konstantin Gavrilov, said that Belgium wants to inflict a “strategic defeat” on Russia in Ukraine.
He also said that Ukraine plays for NATO the role of a battlefield and an instrument of armed struggle against Russia, and The West, in turn, performs the functions of the rear.
