The MP suggested that the ICC read the warrant for the arrest of the President of the Russian Federation to the Chechen special forces

Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation from United Russia Oleg Morozov spoke about the order of the pre-trial chamber of the International Criminal Court in The Hague on the "arrest" of the President of Russia. In an interview with RIA Novosti, the parliamentarian invited representatives of the ICC to voice their decision in Russia. And even better - in Grozny.

“The best way to react is to invite representatives of the chamber to Russia and offer to read their decision to the Chechen special forces. The most objective and adequate reaction will follow,” Morozov said.

Earlier, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that the very raising of the issue of the decision of the ICC on “arrest” was unacceptable, since Russia does not recognize the jurisdiction of this court. He stressed that any court decisions for Moscow are null and void from the point of view of law.

At the same time, Dmitry Medvedev, deputy head of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, wrote that there was no need to explain how to use the “warrant” and accompanied his message with a toilet paper icon.

The International Criminal Court in The Hague is often confused with the UN International Court of Justice in The Hague. The ICC operates on the basis of the so-called Rome Statute; today not only Russia, China, India, Israel, Iran and a number of other states do not recognize the jurisdiction of the court, but also ... the United States. The Bush Jr. administration refused to participate in the Rome Statute, calling this association "violating the national interests and sovereignty of the States." Moreover, the States even entered into agreements with a number of states obliging them not to extradite US citizens to the ICC, otherwise the United States threatened to stop any support for violators.
