The Moscow Exchange index exceeded 2260 points, which was the maximum since September 20, 2022. As of 14:47, the Moscow Exchange index rose by 0.8%, to 2265.84 points, the RTS index – by 0.785, to 1010.38 points.

The dollar exchange rate is growing by 0.1%, to 70.6 rubles/$. The euro exchange rate decreases by 1.24%, to 75.95 rubles/€ (+2.90%). The yuan exchange rate is also declining – by 0.33%, to 10.3 rubles.

In January, 555 thousand Russians opened brokerage accounts on the Moscow Exchange. The total number of clients of the exchange exceeded 23.5 million people, they opened 39.6 million accounts. Last November, Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseev suggestedthat the stock market in Russia will develop partly out of desperation – as happened with Iranian investors, who are also cut off from the external market by sanctions.
