The Ministry of Sports of Russia is negotiating with the Ministry of Defense and the Government of the Russian Federation on the provision of benefits to athletes with partial mobilization. However, the department will not insist on the introduction of separate categories for athletes, Russian Sports Minister Oleg Matytsin told media representatives.
“We are actively looking into the issue of armor,” he said. “But in no way will we single out athletes in separate exceptional categories that will not correspond to the national position.” “Everything will be within the framework of the law,” Matytsin stressed.
