The Ministry of Sports has temporarily excluded training camps and competitions with the participation of Russian teams abroad from the calendar plan. The head of the ministry, Oleg Matytsin, claims that this order is dictated by the course “to strengthen the national sports industry and form sports and economic sovereignty.”

He stated that the Ministry of Sports is “working through the issues of import substitution”, including those related to training in Russia. “Our country has the necessary resources to organize training events for national teams… We are preparing a training camp schedule together with the all-Russian sports federations,” he told TASS.

According to the source of the agency, the order of the Ministry of Sports applies to all events from September 22. Deputy head of the ministry Odes Baysultanov, who also heads the operational headquarters of the Ministry of Sports during the period of partial mobilization, was appointed responsible for the implementation of the order.

President Vladimir Putin since September 21 announced partial mobilization. Ministry of Defense was talking aboutthat they will call up 300 thousand reservists.
