The head of the department specified that the system of voluntary pension insurance for the self-employed is already in operation. According to it, a person can indicate the amount of the desired pension and receive the amount of monthly deductions and vice versa.
According to Kotyakov, such a model is “financially balanced”, in particular, “acceptable for a citizen in terms of a monthly payment” and “forms protection in case of illness.”
“Now we are working on the same voluntary opportunity for social insurance so that the self-employed can receive paid sick leave,” the minister added.
From August 1, 2022, a simplified procedure for registering the “self-employed” tax regime is in force in Russia. In accordance with the new rules, you can apply for registration as a self-employed person or withdraw such status through the State Services portal.
