The Ministry of Industry and Trade allowed the exclusion from the list of these products in the future, while maintaining official deliveries.

Earlier, the American company Johnson & Johnson warned partners about the suspension of imports of contact lenses to Russia. Ministry of Industry and Trade declaredthat Russian enterprises have free capacities to establish the production of these products.

Roszdravnadzor against the background of the above-mentioned news informedthat there are no signs of a shortage of contact lenses in Russia. Moreover, the press service of the federal service said that last fall, Johnson & Johnson LLC (representative of Johnson & Johnson Vision Caer, Inc. in the Russian Federation) informed the department about the planned withdrawal from the assortment of one type of contact lenses (1-Day Acuvue True with Hydraclear 1). But at the same time, product deliveries continued until the end of the first quarter of 2023.

As early as May 24, after the information appeared about the occurrence of a shortage of lenses, the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced on the possible inclusion of optics brand products in parallel imports.
