The Ministry of Industry and Trade has prepared a draft document “Fundamentals of the State Policy of Russia in the field of development of the electronic industry for the period up to 2030 and beyond”, which should form the basis of an updated concept for the development of Russian microelectronics for the next decade, about this informed newspaper “Kommersant” with reference to the document.
According to the publication, the development of the microelectronics industry will be built on the basis of this strategic document in the future. Its development was supervised by Deputy Minister Vasily Shpak. The document is planned to be presented in October at the Microelectronics-2022 forum. In this regard, the Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed several measures to market participants that would help solve these problems. In particular, the department recommended increasing capacities, creating an electronic engineering industry “virtually from scratch” and abandoning foreign technologies in design. To attract the attention of manufacturers and encourage off-budget investment, the authorities will make it easier for producers to access grants, subsidies and soft loans.
It is assumed that after 2030 Russian microelectronics will begin “expansion to international markets.”
