The representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel Igor Ischuk, said that most of the drones produced in the country do not meet the requirements of the department. According to him, manufacturers cannot meet the tactical and technical requirements.

“The main problem of non-fulfillment is the element base,” Ischuk said.

According to him, in this regard, the department “is forced to go for simplification”, in particular, “to accept UAVs in operation in a pilot mode.”

Ischuk also said that the most in demand at the moment are UAVs of electronic intelligence, in addition to reconnaissance vehicles or used as loitering ammunition. The agency also needs drones with an anti-jamming navigation receiver, he added.
