The Ministry of Defense proposed to return caps to Navy officers - Kommersant
The Russian Ministry of Defense has prepared project amendments to the presidential decree “On military uniforms, insignia and departmental insignia.” The ministry proposes to change the uniform of naval officers. For example, it is proposed to return caps to the uniforms of officers, warrant officers and midshipmen.
The ministry’s project also provides for the introduction of black dress jackets “with 5% gold embroidery on the collar” for senior officers of the Navy. According to the draft, it is proposed to issue caps in black with white piping. The issuance of military caps was stopped in 2022 after the government decree “On amendments to the standards for the supply of clothing to military personnel in peacetime.”
