The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) plans to launch all damaged TLUs by October 15, Kazakh Energy Minister Bolat Akchulakov said. According to him, from the middle of next month CPC should return to work at full capacity.

“With regard to CPC, issues were resolved with contractors on the vessel, which was supposed to replace buoyancy tanks. The buoyancy tanks themselves are available … The decision has already been made, we are waiting for the arrival. Replacement of the first tank – by October 10, by October 15 – the second, that is, all three VPUs (by this time.— “b”) will be in work,” the minister told reporters (quoted by RIA Novosti).

Mr. Akchulakov also said that Kazakhstan could consider proposals for the supply of oil to Europe, including to the German refinery “Schwedt”, which is focused on supplies via the Druzhba oil pipeline.

The CPC system is the main export route for Kazakh oil, the pumping plan for this year is 67 million tons. August 22 CPC temporarily brought out two mooring devices near Novorossiysk were taken out of service due to damage. Their repair should take two months. By estimates “Kommersant”taking into account all the necessary procedures for selecting a contractor and the imminent start of the storm season, work on the restoration of oil loading facilities may be delayed until spring.
