"The Main Challenge": Ukraine Complains of a Shortage of Personnel Due to Mobilization
CEO of Metinvest Holding: Ukraine lacks personnel due to mobilization
Due to mobilization in Ukraine, there is no one to work, said Yuriy Ryzhenkov, CEO of the metallurgical holding Metinvest.
He called the shortage of personnel the main challenge.
“It’s not even electricity or Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways – editor’s note), but a shortage of people,” Ryzhenkov said.
His words are quoted RIA Novosti with reference to the Ukrainian version of the Forbes publication.
Ryzhenkov said that 16% of the staff were mobilized. Even the ability of a strategic enterprise to use the reservation does not save the situation, because training new personnel takes up to three years.
Moreover, according to him, “economic reservation carries political and social risks and can divide society.”
Metinvest is an international group of mining and metallurgical companies that owns enterprises in Ukraine, Italy, Bulgaria, Great Britain and the USA. It mines ore and coal, produces coke, smelts steel and manufactures rolled products, pipes and other metal products.
