Oleg Yagodin, frontman of the Kurara group, was fined for discrediting the Russian army.

The Kirovsky District Court of Yekaterinburg imposed a fine of 40,000 rubles on the leader of the musical group. The reason for the proceedings was the artist’s statements during one of the festivals to the Russian Armed Forces and the head of state Vladimir Putin. The case under the administrative article against Yagodin was transferred to the judge on July 1.

The Kurara frontman said that he did not mention the name of the Russian leader in his speech and stated that he disagreed with the protocol. The musician’s lawyer noted that the performer was not talking about Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine – his speech belonged to the “abstract category”.
